The Florida Department of Education released the 2014 FCAT 2.0 Writing results on Friday morning. Niceville High School students outperformed the district and state. The average score for Niceville sophomores was 3.8, while the average district and state scores were 3.6 and 3.5 respectively.
On the 2014 FCAT 2.0 Writing assessment, 75% of NHS students earned a 3.5 or higher, up from 65% in 2013. In February 466 students were tested, and Niceville High School had more students score a 3.5 or higher than any other school in the district.
