Okaloosa Saves would like to invite you and your students to participate in the 8th Annual Piggy Bank Pageant. The pageant is a free competition that encourages creativity, competition and teaches children in a fun way, how to save their money.
Each child creates and decorates a bank out any material they choose or they can alter an existing bank. The rules are attached on the registration form. There are also some photos of piggy banks people have created in the past. Each child should name their bank and complete an entry form.
The banks will be on display at the 2014 Eco-Nomic Living Expo, Saturday, February 1st, 2014 at the
Emerald Coast Convention Center on Okaloosa Island from 9:30a.m.-2p.m. Entries will be judged at the
Expo by the public.
Prizes in each age category:
Place – $100
2nd Place – $50
3rd Place – $25
We encourage all of your students, whether in art, math, after school program or leadership training class
to participate. Submit your top three entries from each age group.
• Banks and entry forms must be turned in by Jan. 15, 2014.
• Students must be present at expo to win. (drawing held at 1:30 p.m.)
• Banks will NOT be saved after the expo. If you would like to pick yours up or make other
arrangements, please contact us.

We also need volunteers to work at the Expo, so this is a great opportunity for students looking to fulfill
requirements for Bright Futures or other obligations. Make contact with Josh or Nick (info below).
